Governing Body Fellow

Prof Caroline Trotter is an infectious disease epidemiologist with particular interest in vaccine evaluation. She is Professor of Global Health and Director of Cambridge-Africa at the University of Cambridge. She is also Professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Director of the Vaccine Impact Modelling Consortium at Imperial College London. Her research into the epidemiology and control of bacterial meningitis has been used to inform policy in Europe and Africa. She regularly acts as a consultant to the World Health Organisation and is a member of WHO’s Technical Taskforce for the ‘Defeating Meningitis by 2030’ roadmap.
