Dr Ruth Holdstock joins us as College Health Practitioner.
Until recently Ruth worked in neighbouring county, Suffolk, where she practiced as a senior GP.
Ruth said: “Hello, and thank you for welcoming me to Hughes Hall. I am your new College Health Practitioner and am very happy to be here. Until the end of May I was a GP in Suffolk, however I live very close to Addenbrooke’s so now I can cycle to work! I am happy to see students regarding physical and mental health, and ill-health; just book an appointment on Moodle. I am here to support the wellbeing of the Hughes Hall family – come and see me if you need to.”
Dr Ben Marshall, Head of Student Welfare, said: “We are delighted to welcome someone of Ruth’s expertise and experience to Hughes Hall – her role in supporting our student community during their time at College is central to our wider wellbeing and welfare provision and we wish her the very best in her role.”
