Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson celebrates her Honorary Law Degree at Hughes

Earlier this week, Hughes Hall was honoured to host Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson as she received an Honorary Degree from the University of Cambridge. Baroness Grey-Thompson was one of eight renowned individuals from the worlds of sport, the arts, business, medicine and architecture who received admission to Higher Doctorates at a Congregation in the Senate House on Wednesday 15 June 2016.

11 times Paralympic Gold Medallist, The Baroness Grey-Thompson is also the President of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations and sits in the House of Lords as an Independent Crossbench Peer.

The college celebrated Tanni Grey-Thompson’s Honorary Law Degree with a formal dinner on Tuesday night, where invited Fellows and sporting Students got the opportunity to meet and celebrate one of the most successful athletes in the UK.
