Education subject area event: learning, awareness, and climate engagement

Wednesday 1 February, 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm, Peter Richards Room

Climate change and the current emergency is at the forefront of our lives.  At Hughes Hall, and as part of the Bridge Initiative, the Centre for Climate Engagement (CCE) was established to increase awareness of climate change mitigation and adaptation on the boards of private companies, and of the need for urgent action.  Their mission is to translate and transfer academic knowledge to corporate boards to accelerate the race to net zero emissions.

Come and join us in conversation with our colleagues from CCE as we understand how this knowledge is transmitted, which are the main pedagogical tools used to engage with boards of private companies, and how we can share knowledge from the education field for continuing support to the CCE.

This event will also offer the opportunity to meet other students and seniors in education, or education related disciplines.

So that we know how many to cater for, please sign up as soon as possible using the Eventbrite link. Click here.

If you are out in school and late back, don’t worry – just turn up whenever you can. No need to eat before you come – supper will be provided.
